Please note: UFB has only assigned representatives to groups which are eligible to receive supplemental funding for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. To learn how to become eligible to request UFB supplemental funding, please email the UCS Student Activities Committee to learn more.

My name is Sam Walhout, and I am excited to improve the Brown experience as a second time member of UFB. Last year, I served as an at-large representative, and this year I am the treasurer. I am a junior studying Computer Science-Economics. I was born and raised in Wheaton, Illinois about 45 minutes outside of Chicago. I am also a tour guide, a writer for the Brown Noser, and a TA for ENGN90.

Hi everyone! My name is Catherine Jia and I’m a sophomore from Upstate NY studying APMA-Econ and H&HBio. Although I am not any groups’ specific representative this year, I am more than happy to meet with anyone who has questions about how to secure funding, craft budgets, or just want to chat about UFB and all things Brown! I served as a first-year representative last year and now serve as Secretary to facilitate internal and external UFB operations. Outside of UFB, you can catch me k-popping with DAEBAK, pitching at BIG and SRIF, eating at Ratty, hosting events with CSA, or cooking vicariously through food videos. Feel free to reach out!

However, I did live in Nigeria for almost 12 years (so I like to think I speak French). I am also a member of Political Science DUG, Brown Journal of World Affairs, and the Intercollegiate Finance Journal. I’m either making a home cooked meal for friends, watching news clips on YouTube, playing video games, or studying on my free time. I'm Naomi LeDell, a sophomore concentrating in Applied Mathematics-Economics. I love swimming, atmospheric DnB, and Andrews salads. Hello everyone! My name is Yabeke Zike, I am a junior here at Brown University from Arlington Virginia, which is right outside of Washington D.C., studying Computer Science-Economics. Besides UFB, I am part of Beta Omega Chi, the National Society of Black Engineers, the Eritrean and Ethiopian Student Association, and the computer science DUG as well.
